HEALTH/MEDICAL CONDITIONS (part 1 of 2)

Microblading is NOT recommended for individuals who are or have:

​

  • Transmittable blood diseases or viral infections​

  • Undergoing chemotherapy (written approval from your doctor is required)​

  • Skin irritations or psoriasis near the eyebrow area (eczema, shingles, rashes, acne, etc.)​

  • Used Accutane within the past year​

  • Botox treatments within the past 2 months​

  • Juvéderm or other fillers in the eyebrow area (written approval from your doctor is required)​

  • Allergies to topical anesthetics used by dentists​

  • Prone to keloids or post-inflammatory hypopigmentation​

  • Insulin-dependent diabetes (written approval from your doctor is required)​

  • Allergic to alcohol or numbing agents​

  • Pregnant or nursing​

  • A pacemaker or major heart issues​

  • An organ transplant​

  • Epilepsy

HEALTH/MEDICAL CONDITIONS (part 2 of 2)

Waxing is NOT recommended for individuals who are or have:

​​

  • Skin conditions:

    • Sunburn, windburn, or active rashes in the brow area

    • Open cuts, wounds, or sores

    • Active acne, cold sores, or herpes simplex near the brows

    • Eczema, psoriasis, or other inflammatory skin conditions

    • Skin that has been recently over-exfoliated or is peeling

  • Medical & skin treatments:

    • Recent chemical peels (within 1–2 weeks, depending on peel depth)

    • Microdermabrasion or dermaplaning within the last week

    • Recent cosmetic tattooing, microblading, or brow lamination in the area (must be fully healed)

    • Recent laser treatments near the brows (1–2 weeks)

    • Use of topical acne medications (e.g., Retin-A, Differin, Tretinoin) in the area within the last 5–7 days

    • Use of Accutane (Isotretinoin) within the past 12 months

  • Medications & health conditions:

    • Blood-thinning medications

    • Diabetes (if not well-controlled, due to slower healing)

    • Skin conditions or sensitivities caused by certain prescriptions

    • Any condition that causes delayed healing or increased skin fragility

  • Other factors:

    • Very sensitive or reactive skin

    • Allergies to wax, resins, or related ingredients

    • Recent Botox, fillers, or other injectables near the brow area (wait 2 weeks minimum)
